Guard® protective textiles by Salamtex™ come in different types of fabrics specially engineered to provide the various medical sectors with a wide range of options tailored to their needs. All Guard® products carry the Trade Mark hand tag as certification of their properties.
Guard® textiles are made of “Man-Made” fibers with continuous filaments that give off no lint, preventing the possibility of infection through micro particles carrying infected micro-organisms in the medical facilities. Particles shredded from fabric fibers can contaminate the air and surrounding surfaces.
Furthermore, all Salamtex™ textiles, including Guard® are certified and tested for harmful substance and safe to use closely to the skin according to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 – Class II, and all the fabrics components comply with the required criteria without exceptions.
Guard® textiles can keep most of their physical properties for 400 washes (as for their tensile strength and free linting), and from 60 to 100 washes for their chemical properties gained through treatments.
